The location is magical, surrounded by 8 hectares of forest that make the place absolutely unique and different. The historical building with its corresponding charisma is awe-inspiring and sleeping in a former monastery with antique rooms is extraordinary. The atmosphere of the former monastery is particularly beautiful and creates an authentic, tranquil monastic experience in a monumental building. Guests enjoyed staying in a beautiful historic hotel with a lot of interesting things to see, such as a huge, lovely garden, a stunning chapel, elegant hallways and historic rooms. The entire ambiance of the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes is amazing, as it is located in the oldest monastery of Portugal in the royal city of Guimaraes, making it a breathtaking and unique historical location.

Lina Kapetsini lived in the mansion until the late 1970s and after her death the property fell into disrepair. In 2006, the mansion was restored and became a boutique hotel in 2010. The Ottoman features of the building, such as the large chimney and fireplaces, are still evident today, fused with Byzantine and Venetian elements.
